Reviews and Testimonials
"My sister and I had a wonderful time at Ridge Ranch today! We did the goat yoga and both the hostess (owner) and yoga instructor were gracious and welcoming. Would 100% recommend and we are looking forward to going again in the future! "
"I went to Ridge Ranch today and had the best time. The animals were so sweet and gentle and my nephew was so happy! I was equally as excited to snuggle all the cute animals. I can’t wait to go back."

"Ridge Ranch is the best - such a fun place to visit and spend time with amazing animals. Dan and Arielle are experts and show you how to feed the animals, brush them, and even cuddle some of the babies! Highly recommend planning a visit!"
Our Story
Once upon a time, we lived in a much bigger house—but on a much smaller piece of land—right near the center of town. We made the most of just a few acres: a small garden, a mini pond, a little loop of a trail, and a happy flock of chickens.
On the kitchen shelf sat an old farmhouse lock and key, a simple symbol of our dream: that it takes two to build something meaningful—and that one day, we would build our dream farmhouse.
Then one late Sunday night, while we were hundreds of miles apart, a quick text message changed everything:
"Hey, wanna move to Patterson?"
We had found just the right opportunity. Four days later, our house was on the market. Two days after that, it had an offer.
The move was intense. We were downsizing our home—and upsizing our dream. For six weeks, we moved things night after night after work. Finally, we took a deep breath and said:
"Now that we’re at least here, we can take our time and build what we want at our leisure."
But... that didn't last long.
One night, not long after moving in, we were sitting around a makeshift fire pit with friends, casually talking about maybe getting goats next year.
The next day:
Dan: "Can you stop in Cortlandt Manor on your way home from work?"
Arielle: "For what?"
Dan: "There’s a goat I need you to pick up."
Arielle: "I thought we said next year!?"
Well, one goat turned into a whole herd. And that’s when the real work began.
Shipping containers were brought in for animal shelters. We moved giant boulders, dug up trees, cleared land, bought equipment, started an LLC, and faced plenty of unexpected challenges. But the goats—our “gateway animals”—had opened the door.
Today at Ridge Ranch, you’ll find a wide variety of animals:
🐰 Lionhead, Holland Lop and Plush Lop bunnies
🐐 Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, and Mini Nubian goats
🐴 Mini donkeys
🐄 Micro Zebus
🐂 Mini and Mid Sized Highland cattle
🐃 Gyr Brahmans and more
When we moved here, we didn’t expect this—but we’re incredibly grateful that this is where we ended up. Ridge Ranch has become a place where the possibilities feel endless.
While our primary focus is livestock production and sales, we’re also passionate about promoting agritourism. We believe that the more connected people are to where their food comes from, the more likely they are to support other local, family-run farms.
